CRRCTaiyuan Co., Ltd, founded in 1898, is one of the earliest railway factories in China and has a history of around 80 years in manufacture and maintenance of railway products since 1934. The company, subordinate to China CNR Corporation Limited, is a large state-owned first-class enterprise, the largest maintenance base of railway electric locomotives in China and a leading company in design and manufacture of K series hopper cars. The operating machinery for railway engineering designed and manufactured by the company itself has reached domestic advanced level.
CRRCTaiyuan Co., Ltd covers an area of about 112.4 hectares, with 4,000 employees, 3,900 sets of various machinery and equipment, and more than 150 sets of large-scale precision equipment. The Company products focus primarily on three fields: maintenance of electric locomotives, manufacture and maintenance of freight wagons, and manufacture of engineering vehicles. The company has an annual shop maintenance capacity of 260 sets of electric locomotives, involving various types of electric locomotives in the main railway. New vehicle products include the design and manufacture of gondola cars, ballast hopper cars, coal hopper cars, flat cars, tank trucks, automatic dumping cars，grain hopper wagons，container flat wagons etc., with an annual production capacity of 5,000 new vehicles, and an annual shop maintenance capacity of 5,000 vehicles. We have various of products can meet the requirement of users include different railway lines, different gauge, different load levels and different speed grades. Engineering vehicles mainly include catenary working vehicles, constant-tension cable unrolling vehicle, heavy rail cars, traction diesel locomotives for mining, tunnel tractors, inspection vehicles, washing vehicles, railway crane trucks and other railway engineering maintenance products, with an annual production capacity of 300 sets. In addition, our company also manufactures a variety of rail vehicle accessories, castings (steel, iron, copper and aluminum), forgings, welding parts, machining parts etc.
Technology
The company has a team of 1112 highly-qualified professional and technical employees, including 22 postgraduates and 171 persons with senior technical titles. The disciplines include diesel locomotive, electric locomotive, engineering machinery, machinery manufacturing, railway vehicle, electrical engineering, computer software, automatic control, computer numerical control etc.
The company has also set up a research and development center, incorporating design personnel, technology personnel and some technical workers, and employing a number of celebrities from well-known domestic railway universities and institutes as guest experts. The company has established a comprehensive and professional design, trial-manufacture and test base of railway wagons, concerning the latest developments in international railway wagon vehicles and absorbing domestic and international latest technological achievements in railway wagon vehicles to enhance the technological level of China's railway wagon vehicles. Production of Facility and Tooling
Our company can provide various metal-cutting, electromechanical, and power equipments along with advanced measurement and detection, physical and chemical inspection, and electrical test equipments. Our company possesses complete technology means, advanced facility and tooling, very strong machining, casting (aluminum, steel and iron), forging, and rivet welding abilities, advanced heat treatment and electroplating equipments, strong capacity of developing and manufacturing rolling stock products and parts.

Technical Assurance:
Our company possesses strong technical force, with 1112 persons of all kinds of professionals and 50 on-job postgraduates. Designs of all products are realized through computer aided design (CAD), and are checked with I-deas software. Design liaison and project management are realized by means of the LAN within the company and the OA (office automation) software. All above mentioned conditions provide guarantee for the development and research of products.
Equipment Support:
Our company possesses about 3,900 sets of various mechanical power equipments, of which, 645 sets are railway equipment, 154 sets are large-scale precision equipment, about 600 sets are large-scale tooling and 850 sets are metering, and detection equipment and apparatus. Our company owns locomotive inspection and repair, freight car manufacture, and freight car repair high-grade production lines, as well as has specialized production workshop and facilities for mobile machinery shop. Precise equipment and advanced production technology provide solid material foundation for the development and research of products.

CRRC Taiyuan Co., Ltd., one of Chinese earliest railway factories, is a wholly owned subsidiary company of CRRC. The company predecessor, the Shanxi Province machine industry germination place, was built in 1898 and up to now it has more than 100 year’s history. The company covers an area of 686,000 square meters, plant area of 182,000 square meters, fixed assets net value of 310.45 million RMB, the existing staff 4562 people.
